The Livestock Resilience and Competitiveness Project (PRECEL) organized this Tuesday, August 27, 2024 in Ouagadougou, under the Presidency of the Budget Program Manager 082, Mr. Marcel DA, a validation workshop of the report of the study of development of the reference situation for the project indicators.

The objective of this study, according to the PRECEL Coordinator Dr. Soumaila BITIBALE, is to determine the reference values ​​of all the project indicators in order to support monitoring-evaluation and project planning. This document will allow PRECEL to have an instrument on which it will rely for good direction of actions.

Indeed, the project having officially started in February 2024, it therefore seems essential to have an initial inventory, sufficiently solid to allow essential reference points to be set, to evaluate the changes and the impact, by authorizing the comparisons between the situation before and after project intervention.

After the presentation of the results of the study by the consultant Dr SAWADOGO Nongresida and his team, the participants examined and validated the report which is so important for PRECEL.

The Project Coordinator thanked the participants for the various contributions which will improve the final report.

Since the start of the project, PRECEL has been involved in the development of framework documents that can guide its actions.
