
PRECEL governance: PMU organizes first support mission of 2024
The Management Unit of the Burkina Faso Livestock Resilience and Competitiveness Project (PRECEL) is organizing the first joint Burkina Faso government-World Bank mission in Ouagadougou from February 27 to March 1, 2024, in the presence of several key figures from the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal and Fisheries Resources and implementing partners.
Over the course of four days, participants will analyze progress made since the project’s inception, review progress made in implementing the 2024 action plan and budget, ascertain measures taken to comply with environmental and social safeguards, review fiduciary management, notably procurement and financial management, and make recommendations for the efficient implementation of project activities.
According to Saidou SANA, Chargé d’études at the Secrétariat Général of the Ministère de l’Agriculture, des Ressources Animales et Halieutiques, representing the Secretary General, these exchanges will provide a clear vision of PRECEL’s activities. He took the opportunity to thank the World Bank for its constant support of the Burkinabe government in the agro-sylvo-pastoral sector.
